Flying Free At Sunset Jeans

frankie b. jeansI absolutely love the back pocket design of the Frankie B. Flying Free at Sunset pair of jeans! That dove completing the shape of the heart is absolutely lovely. Well, even the name of this pair of jeans is lovely too... Flying Free at Sunset. Aesthetic, isn't it?

I love wearing jeans that have designs on their pockets, especially when I'm in a good mood. (Otherwise, plain old boring jeans would do.) I find it amazing how they come up with designs like these. Other jean designs from Frankie B. that I liked are:

The magnetic snap-on bag

miche bagSo has anyone heard about the Miche Bag collection? I've just read about this now so this is my first time knowing that a bag of this kind exists. What makes the Miche Bag unique is that you only need one "base bag" -- the designs, called shells, are purchased individually. The picture above demonstrates how the Miche Bag works. You take the shell off and replace it with another one. It's that easy.

My take on the Miche Bag: I don't like it. I mean, the designs are pretty and all, but there's only one style for the bag itself that comes in two colors: brown and black. I think it's more of a fad than actual fashion. That's just me, of course.

Anyway, here are some of the cute shells Miche has to offer:

Style: Mrs. Beckham's many bags

I just realized, while going through some celebrity blogs, that Victoria Beckham probably has the most number of bags in the whole wide world. Maybe. So now I present you with different pictures of Posh's bags! Take note that she does love Hermes a lot though, evident in these pictures. One thing's for sure though: all her bags are way expensive!

Marc Jacobs Spring 2008 Collection

Today we feature Marc Jacobs' Spring 2008 Ready-to-Wear Collection. His designs for this fashion set is surrealist in nature, hence, I think it's a bit on the eccentric side. Check out the pair of shoes one of the models is wearing and you'll see what I mean. Heck, just look at the clothes themselves and you'll see what I mean. They're a bit too much for my taste but you decide.

The Controversial Abercrombie & Fitch

abercrombie & fitchNow who could've guessed that Abercrombie & Fitch started out in 1892?

As a brand that covers clothing and accessories for people of all sorts, Abercrombie & Fitch expanded itself to five different sub-brands to cater to kids, teens, college students, post-college people, and women's lingerie: Abercrombie, Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, Ruehl No. 925 and Gilly Hicks respectively.

That's not the subject of today's entry though.

Abercrombie & Fitch is a well-known brand, but fashionable designs contribute to probably only half of their fame. What makes A&F talked about are the numerous controversies revolving around the name Abercrombie & Fitch.
  1. They had this magalog (A&F Quarterly magazine-catalog) before that had nude and semi-nude pictures of models pages apart from the actual products. This was supposedly restricted to adult readers only, but was easily accessible to teens alike.
  2. Minority employees of A&F claimed that likable positions in the company were offered only to white men. This raised a lot of issues regarding discrimination against minority.
  3. Abercrombie & Fitch's products are controversial in themselves:
    1. Shirts featuring prints that depicted racial discrimination
    2. A&F released thongs for young girl that featured provocative messages
    3. Shirts that had stereotypical messages on them
    4. Products that was claimed by Christian schools to have "an unusual degree of antagonism to the name of Christ"
Despite all these, Abercrombie & Fitch still manages to stay as one of the leading brands when it comes to pop fashion. They continue to expand their market and come up with new flagship brands that will cater to more people from different age brackets.

Hoodies

ed hardy hoodieSo what is it about hoodies that make people like wearing them?

I, for one, love hoodies. They're quite comfortable to wear. As long as they aren't over-sized, they can be snug and just falls into place. Well, even the over-sized ones are nice to wear but oftentimes, not so nice to look at because they can make you seem bigger than you actually are.

Apart from that, hoodies come in a lot of colorful and creative designs. I especially like Ed Hardy's hoodies. That fusion of Western and Japanese tattoos designed onto clothes are just plain pretty.

They're not only used to be fashionable too! I like wearing hoodies especially when it's raining because it protects me from being wet and cold at the same time. I can look good even when the weather's bleak. I don't see that many people wearing hoodies here where I live though. They still opt to wear jackets and sweatshirts which sometimes makes me wonder if people here are even aware of the term hoodie.

Do you like wearing hoodies?
