Jeans, anyone?

Are you a fan of jeans?

Jeans have become a staple in the clothing industry. Almost everyone has at least a pair of jeans. They're comfortable, durable and will go with all the tops inside your closet. The different patterns in jeans these days also make them look extremely classy and stylish.

What kind of jeans do you wear?

There's so many types to choose from. Skinny, boot cut, straight legs, flares, cargo...the list goes on forever. Not only that, but there are tons of makers of jeans to choose from too. Each has their own design, comfort level and such, so it really is up to the person to decide on which brand they will stay loyal to.

Who is Ed Hardy?

ed hardyThe Ed Hardy brand is probably one of the most popular brands these days. Even celebrities can be seen wearing their favorite piece of clothing by Ed Hardy. Be it shirts, caps, shoes - Ed Hardy's designs can be recognized even from afar.

But who is Ed Hardy?

"Don Ed Hardy" is a well-known tattoo artist who incorporated Japanese designs to his Western-style tattoos to create a more aesthetic appeal to them.

In 2002, Ku USA Inc. approached Hardy and asked if they could produce a clothing line using his tattoos as designs. After two years, Hardy Life LLC was formed to hold copyrights and trademark ownership of the clothing line.

2004 was when famed designer Christian Audigier, who made Von Dutch, licensed the rights to produce the Ed Hardy clothing line. He used the same marketing techniques that he employed with his own brand by opening shops in high-end districts to target celebrities.

The Ed Hardy designs attracted a lot of stars, including Brad Pitt, Carmen Electra, Hulk Hogan and Madonna, making them unofficial models of the brand. Currently, six Ed Hardy stores are in business worldwide.

Here are some of Ed Hardy's designs:

Asian-Inspired Fashion

ed hardy asian-inspired clothesThese are just some of the Asian-inspired clothes that we see everywhere today. I don't really know why there's a sudden boom in these kinds of designs. It could be the color, exotic and aesthetic images...or the fact that the designers saw that Asian patterns are the next big thing in the fashion industry.

We see all sorts of designs in clothes, bags and shoes. As far as I can tell, the most popular designs are (in no particular order):
  • Dragons
  • Koi
  • Geisha
  • Chinese characters
They really do look good in clothes, especially when simplicity governs over the design. Does anyone like Asian-inspired patterns?

Hats and Caps?

We see a lot of celebrities these days going about their daily lives wearing hats or caps. Different kinds of them too. They go around wearing all sorts of hats that either blend well or clash with the set of clothes they have, but seldom for the latter, of course (since they have to be careful about what they wear).

But whether we do like them or not, hats and caps have been a mainstay in the fashion and showbiz industry. Below are a series of pictures of celebrities with different kinds of hats...

Type of skirts

lauren conrad skirtDo you like wearing skirts? Personally, I don't really enjoy wearing skirts as I tend to feel a draft of wind between my legs whenever I'm forced to wear one. A lot of my friends do wear skirts though and I always hear them talking about which kind of skirts they like the most.

So which type -- well, length of skirt do you like wearing the most?

We know that these days, there are already so many kinds of skirts that I find it hard to remember them all. Long skirts, pencil skirts, mini skirts, micro mini skirts, peasant skirts...it's getting tedious to list them all here.

So...does anyone think skirts are cool? Or hot, for that matter.
